This bill is discrimitory and completely unnecessary. This bill does not reflect a desire to protect anyone from trans-gendered people, for there is not one spec of evidence nor any recorded incidents that trans people have ever caused a problem for anyone in a public restroom. The bill is a reflection of the ignorance and bigotry of it’s supporters. Criminal records show that people are far more likely to be harassed in a public restroom by closeted conservative politicians than by a trans person. This bill causes problems rather than solves them. It would be far more shocking for most people to see a bearded, buff, trans man go into a women’s restroom than for him to use the mensroom. It would be downright dangerous for a trans woman in a dress and makeup to go into a men’s restroom. It’s only common sense that people use the restroom of their current gender.
